Mary Dyer (Teacher) is a graduate of Montclair State University, where she majored in Family Science and Human Development with a focus on K-6 education. Mary currently teaches elementary school in Livingston, NJ.
Mary has been dancing since the age of 3, training and competing in all styles of dance. She danced for a private studio and for her high school team at West Essex Regional Schools. After graduating high school, she continued her love of dance through teaching. She has been teaching jazz, lyrical, and contemporary dance since 2013.
Working with children has always been a priority in Mary’s life, especially in the form of movement. She worked at My Gym Children’s Fitness Center for three years where she worked with children ages 7 months- 10 years old on social skills, balance & coordination, and gymnastics skills.
Currently, while working as an elementary educator, Mary also spends time as a private tutor and teaching dance. In her spare time, she enjoys exercising often and choreographing to new music. She is so happy to share her love of movement and dance with her students at SJDA!
